Challenge

DSM Firmenich, a global leader in health, nutrition, and biosciences, faced a challenge in introducing their revolutionary HaloScent® technology to the market. Despite its ability to amplify the longevity and intensity of fragrances, the technology’s complexity and wide-ranging applications—from hair care to laundry care and fine fragrances—made it difficult to communicate effectively to high-level stakeholders and potential customers in presentation settings.

Existing materials lacked a cohesive narrative and visual appeal, failing to capture the emotional and sensory impact of HaloScent®. To stand out in a competitive market, the project required a fresh approach—one that would simplify the technical aspects while creating a captivating story that resonated with diverse audiences and showcased the transformative potential of HaloScent®. A clearly defined visual identity was also needed to unify future materials and establish a recognizable, ownable brand presence.

Strategy

To address this challenge, I created a comprehensive brand presentation that included a PowerPoint deck, immersive video, and a custom branding sheet to showcase HaloScent®’s revolutionary technology. Through in-depth research and storyboarding, I developed a clear narrative positioning HaloScent® as “The Fragrance Amplifier,” highlighting its ability to enhance sensory experiences across product categories.

The branding sheet served as the foundation for the visual language—featuring refined typography, a modern color palette, and multiple logo treatments—to ensure consistency across all assets. The presentation built on that system, combining beautiful imagery, clean layouts, and well-crafted copy while avoiding overly technical visuals. The result was an emotionally resonant, easy-to-understand narrative that aligned seamlessly with DSM Firmenich’s brand identity.

Results

The materials successfully introduced HaloScent® as a breakthrough in fragrance delivery, generating excitement and clarity among stakeholders and potential clients. The cohesive branding—anchored by the HaloScent® brand sheet—established a professional, elegant foundation for future marketing and helped bring visual consistency to the campaign.

By aligning the messaging with DSM Firmenich’s values of innovation and sustainability, and backing it with an elevated design system, the work positioned HaloScent® as a game-changing solution in the fragrance space. The final presentation not only informed, but inspired—elevating DSM Firmenich’s reputation as a creative leader in bioscience innovation.
