Festo Robotics, a global leader in factory automation and process control, sought a mobile application to meet the growing demand for quick and reliable access to their extensive product catalog. Customers needed a seamless way to explore technical specifications, pricing details, and real-time delivery updates. However, the lack of a centralized, intuitive platform led to inefficiencies, including increased call volumes and difficulties in tracking orders accurately.
The challenge was to create a mobile application that aligned with Festo’s brand standards while offering a modern, user-friendly experience to streamline product discovery and tracking for customers worldwide.
The Strategy
As Creative Director at Lounge Lizard, I led the design efforts to develop a cutting-edge mobile application for Festo Robotics. Collaborating with Festo’s development team in Germany, I crafted a design that adhered to the brand’s guidelines while integrating modern aesthetics and user-focused functionality. My approach included creating detailed wireframes, visually engaging designs, and interactive prototypes that ensured a seamless user experience.
The app was designed to provide customers with quick access to product information, real-time delivery updates, and order tracking, all within a visually captivating and easy-to-navigate interface. Additionally, I provided creative direction for photography, ensuring the visuals enhanced the app’s overall appeal. Close collaboration with Festo stakeholders throughout the project ensured alignment with their strategic goals and vision.
The Results
The Festo Robotics mobile app delivered significant improvements for both customers and the company. Within the first three months, customer satisfaction with order tracking increased by 30%, and call volumes were reduced by 45% in the first 60 days of the app’s launch.
