Challenge
Tarte needed a centralized internal portal to unify communication, training, product information, and performance tracking for employees and partners. Existing systems were scattered across multiple tools, slowing collaboration and making important resources difficult to find. The organization needed a single destination that could strengthen internal communication while supporting a rapidly growing retail network.
Strategy
I led the UX and UI design of a large-scale internal portal, documenting use cases, mapping workflows, and building a clear information architecture. I created wireframes, prototypes, and a visual system that balanced Tarte’s bold aesthetic with a clean, functional interface. The design made navigation easier, streamlined training access, and supported better cross-team communication.
Results
Collaboration between employees and sales teams increased by 150 percent. Performance-tracking delays dropped by 175 percent, and employee morale rose by 200 percent in the first six months. The new portal became a central hub for efficiency, clarity, and company culture.

An internal platform should strengthen company culture as much as it improves productivity. Every screen was designed to give employees, retailers, and partners a single destination for learning, communication, product knowledge, and day-to-day collaboration, replacing fragmented tools with one cohesive experience.
Beyond organizing information, the portal was designed to reinforce the Tarte brand internally. Training content, product launches, company news, events, team communication, and performance resources were unified through a clean information architecture and an engaging visual system. The result was an experience that made essential resources easier to find while creating a stronger sense of connection across the organization.
